BESTIES OUTING DAY
How to Play
Game Overview
So I tried this Baby Hazel game called BESTIES OUTING DAY, and honestly it''s exactly what you''d expect from a dress-up-and-pick-a-place simulator aimed at little kids, but it''s weirdly chill. You''ve got three friends -- Mia, Bella, and Ana -- and the whole thing is just getting them ready for a day out. The visual style is super bright and cartoony, all pastel colors and chunky outlines, like a coloring book come to life. You start in a bedroom that''s packed with clothes -- shirts, skirts, shoes, accessories -- and you drag stuff onto each girl to make outfits. There''s no wrong choice, which is nice. You can mix a floral top with sneakers and a cowboy hat if you want, and the game just rolls with it. After everyone''s dressed, you pick a destination: a café, a park, or a shopping trip. That''s pretty much it. It feels like playing with paper dolls on a tablet, but there''s a little animation at the end where they wave goodbye and you get a happy message. My niece got hooked on it for about an hour before she wanted something with more action, but for a quick, low-stakes game with zero stress -- no timers, no losing -- it''s fine. The vibe is pure preschool-friendly fluff.
About BESTIES OUTING DAY
So in Besties Outing Day, you start with three girls--Mia, Bella, and Ana--standing in a room full of clothes. Your job is to pick outfits for each of them before they head out. The wardrobe is split into tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories, and you can mix and match anything. There's no wrong answer, but some combos unlock little sparkle animations or bonus stars, which feels satisfying for no good reason. The game doesn't pressure you, so you can spend time trying on goofy hats or matching sneakers just for fun.
Once everyone's dressed, you move to the destination screen. Three options pop up: a cozy café, a sunny park, or a shopping mall. Clicking one triggers a short cutscene of the girls walking there. The café scene has them sipping lattes and laughing; the park shows them on a picnic blanket; the mall has bags and a funny moment where one girl trips. It's cute but quick.
Then the loop restarts. New clothing items unlock as you complete outings--stuff like a denim jacket for the park or a fancy dress for the mall visit. The difficulty doesn't really ramp up, but later you get a timer mode where you have 60 seconds to dress all three before they get impatient and start tapping their feet. That's when it gets a bit frantic. You're dragging clothes onto bodies as fast as you can, and sometimes the wrong shoe type triggers a frown animation, forcing you to swap it out.
There's also a "Besties Bond" meter that fills up each time you match outfits that coordinate color-wise or style-wise. Once it's full, you unlock a special photo booth where you can pose the girls together. The satisfying moment is when you nail a full matching set and the bond meter jumps up with a chime sound. It's simple but addictive for a few rounds.
Mechanically, you're just clicking and dragging--no complex combos. The objectives are clear: dress them, pick a spot, watch the scene. Later levels add a fourth friend who shows up randomly and demands her own outfit, which throws off your rhythm. No upgrades, just more clothes and one timed mode. The game doesn't overstay its welcome, but you'll probably play through the café-park-mall cycle three or four times before it feels samey.
Tips & Tricks
Picking outfits first can save you time -- if you start with the destination choice, the game locks certain clothing options that don't match, which is annoying. The wardrobe categories aren't sorted by friend, so scroll slowly or you'll accidentally dress Mia in Bella's top and have to redo it. I wasted ten minutes this way.
The café destination has a hidden interaction: if you click the whipped cream on Ana's cup three times, she makes a funny face. It doesn't affect anything but it's a nice touch. For the park, don't rush through the accessory selection -- sunglasses actually change the friends' expressions in the final photo, which is easy to miss.
One mistake I kept making was ignoring the 'random' button on outfits. It actually cycles through complete looks that match the destination's color palette, so it's useful when you're stuck. The game punishes you for mismatched shoes too -- if Bella wears heels to the park, her walking animation looks awkward, which is hilarious but also a sign you messed up.
Finally, the wish message at the end lets you type anything, but the default text changes based on your outfit choices. If you pick all pink, the message mentions 'sweet style' automatically. Small detail, but it's worth playing around with.
