Easter Party for Little Monster is one of those dress-up games that knows exactly what it wants to be and does it without any fuss. You start by picking a Monster High character--there's Draculaura, Clawdeen, Frankie Stein, and a few others, each with their own pre-set base look. The whole loop is: pick a character, then go through three stages: outfit, hairstyle, and accessories, then makeup. You click through tabs at the bottom of the screen to switch between categories. Each category has a decent number of options--maybe fifteen to twenty items per section--so you can mix and match quite a bit. The outfits are all Easter-themed, so you get pastel-colored dresses with spiderweb lace, bunny-eared hoodies, egg-shaped handbags, that sort of thing. The hairstyles are wild--some are big and poofy with streaks of neon green or pink, others are slicked back with little bat clips. The accessories tab has bunny ears in different styles, chunky necklaces with egg charms, and bracelets that look like they're made of jellybeans. The makeup section lets you pick eyeshadow, lipstick, and cheek blush, each with about ten color options. What's satisfying is that the game saves your combo as you go, so if you accidentally click away, you don't lose everything. There's no timer, no scoring, no enemies--it's purely a sandbox for making the character look as ridiculous or cute as you want. The difficulty doesn't build because there is no difficulty. But what does happen is that you start noticing how certain items clip through each other--like big hair and bunny ears sometimes overlap weirdly--which is annoying but also kind of charming. The satisfying moment is when you finish a look and hit the "Join the Party" button, which shows your character in a little animated scene eating a cupcake or dancing with other characters. There's no real gameplay beyond that, just the joy of clicking through options and seeing the character change. The controls are just mouse clicks--no drag and drop, just point and click. You can go back and change anything at any time, which is nice. The game doesn't punish you for experimenting. It's not deep, but for a quick burst of creativity, it works. I spent about ten minutes making Frankie look like a cyberpunk Easter bunny with mismatched eyes and a rainbow wig. That's the whole point.
