Also, the skeleton boss shoots arrows in a pattern: dodge left on the first volley, then right on the second.
One trick that clicked for me: you can cancel your attack animation by tapping jump. That lets you chain a quick hit into a dodge, which is critical for the lava boss that spawns floor fire. Without that cancel, you'll get stuck in the swing and fry 🔍.
