How to Play

Game Overview

So I gave Obby Pet Simulator X a try, and honestly, it's exactly what it sounds like -- an obby game but with pets. The world is this blocky, colorful playground, kind of like a toy box exploded. You run around these floating platforms and obstacle courses, and the whole point is to smash breakable blocks and open eggs to get pets. The pets are the main draw -- they're these cute little creatures that follow you around, and each one has a different rarity, like common or legendary. The visual style is super simple, bright neon colors and flat textures, nothing fancy but it works for the vibe. It feels less like a serious game and more like a time-waster you play while listening to a podcast. The movement is floaty, jumps feel a bit light, and the obstacles are more about patience than skill. Who would get hooked on it? Probably kids who love collecting things or anyone who enjoys mindless grinding with a tiny dopamine hit every time you hatch a rare pet. It's not challenging or deep, but there's something oddly satisfying about watching your pet squad grow while you hop through the same courses. Multiplayer is there too, so you see other players running around with their pets, which adds a bit of social flavor. Honestly, if you're looking for a game that doesn't demand much brainpower and just lets you vibe, this could be your thing.

About Obby Pet Simulator X

Obby Pet Simulator X is one of those games where you're constantly doing something, even if that something is just clicking a lot. The loop is pretty simple at first: you start in a hub area with a bunch of eggs scattered around. You run up to an egg, click on it, and it cracks open to give you a pet. Pets come in different rarities--common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary--and each one has a different power level. The rarer the pet, the bigger the numbers it puts up when you're breaking stuff. Your main objective is to break everything in sight. There are these big blocky obstacles, like wooden crates, stone barriers, and metal doors, that you and your pets smash through. Every time you break something, you get coins and experience points. Coins let you buy better eggs or upgrade your pets. Experience points level up your character, which unlocks new areas. The first world is called Training Grounds, and it's pretty chill--just a few crates and a single egg spawner. But once you hit level 10, you unlock The Factory, which has conveyor belts moving faster, tougher metal crates, and these annoying little spike traps that slow you down. Later, Lava Caverns throws in lava pools you have to jump over, and Sky Islands has floating platforms with gaps you can easily fall through. By the time you reach The Void around level 40, the obstacles are these glowing purple barriers that take forever to break unless you've got a legendary pet. The satisfying moments come when you finally crack a legendary egg and see that golden glow--your pets suddenly shred through stuff that took minutes before. There's also a pet fusion system where you combine three max-level pets of the same rarity to get a higher-tier one, which is risky but feels great when it works. Upgrades in the shop let you increase your click power, run speed, or jump height, and those help a lot in later worlds with tricky platforming. The game doesn't really end--it just keeps adding more worlds and pets. You'll spend a lot of time grinding coins to buy the 10,000-coin egg, then the 50,000-coin one, then the 250,000-coin one. Multiplayer is a thing too--other players run around breaking stuff alongside you, and you can trade pets if you're lucky enough to get duplicates. The controls are WASD for movement, space to jump, and left click to interact with everything. On mobile, there's a joystick and tap buttons. It's pretty straightforward, but the grind can get real once you're in the higher worlds.

Tips & Tricks

When you start opening eggs, don't blow all your coins on the first one you see. The starter egg is a trap -- save up for the next tier, because those pets have way better stats and you'll clear obstacles faster. I wasted hours grinding with weak pets before I noticed. Another thing: the auto-collect feature isn't always active. You have to manually toggle it in the settings menu, which is easy to miss. Once I turned that on, my coin income tripled. The obstacle-breaking minigame has a rhythm to it. Spamming clicks doesn't work -- time your clicks to the visual flash on the object for double damage. I failed a lot of runs until I figured that out. Also, the pet fusion system is worth using early. Combine two common pets to make an uncommon, and the stat boost is huge for the next area. Don't hoard duplicates. For the boss fights, jumping over the shockwave attack is better than trying to outrun it. I kept dying until I realized the jump timing is lenient if you jump right as the ground glows. One last mistake I made: ignoring the daily rewards. Log in each day for a free egg or coins -- it adds up fast and saves you grinding for hours.
