Obby Saves Brainrots from Tsunami
How to Play
Game Overview
So I tried this game called Obby Saves Brainrots from Tsunami, and it's exactly as chaotic as the name suggests. You're running from a giant wave, which is pretty standard tsunami obby stuff, but then there's this whole layer of collecting these little brainrot creatures and turning them into cash. The visual style is bright and cartoony, kind of like those mobile runner games but with a weird idle tycoon twist. You start just dodging obstacles and trying not to get washed away, but soon you're crafting brainrots and buying upgrades. It feels frantic at first because the wave is always behind you, but then you realize you can slow down and build up your empire between runs. The controls are simple -- WASD to move, E to grab stuff, G to throw brainrots which is actually fun for no reason. Who would get hooked? Probably people who like grinding in games but also want some action. The idle elements mean you can leave and come back to more money, but you still need to actually play to collect resources. It's not deep or anything, but the mix of running for your life and managing a silly brainrot business is weirdly satisfying. The vibe is pure chaos with a smiley face on it.
About Obby Saves Brainrots from Tsunami
So you're in this game where the whole point is to not get washed away by a tsunami while also scooping up these little brainrot guys. The opening level is called "First Splash" and it's pretty gentle -- you just run forward, jump over some crates, and collect glowing brainrots that are just sitting there. You use WASD to move, and that's basically it for the first few minutes. It feels like a standard obby, honestly.
But then around level 3, "Panic at the Pier," things change. The tsunami gets faster. You start seeing obstacles that move -- like swinging signs and collapsing docks. Now you're actually having to time your jumps. The brainrots are scattered in harder spots too, sometimes on platforms that tilt. That's when the real loop kicks in: you run, you jump, you grab brainrots, you die, you restart, you get a little further each time.
The satisfying part comes when you clear a zone and the tsunami barely misses you -- you can feel the wave splash at your heels. Later, you unlock the ability to craft brainrots at workbenches (press E to interact). You combine basic brainrots into rarer ones, like the "Golden Thought" or "Glitched Meme." Those rarer ones are worth way more money. Money lets you buy upgrades in the tycoon menu -- faster run speed, longer jump, a double-brainrot magnet. It's slow at first but snowballs.
By the time you hit "Skybridge Sprint," you're dealing with enemies too -- not the tsunami itself, but "Critic Clouds" that rain slow-down slime, and "Doubt Bots" that push you backward. You have to throw brainrots at them (press G) to stun them. That adds a whole layer of multitasking -- you're running, jumping, dodging, and chucking brainrots all at once. It's chaotic but fun when you get the rhythm.
There's also an idle layer. Once you build your empire, brainrots auto-collect in the background. You can come back after an hour and find a pile of cash waiting. The game doesn't force you to grind forever -- you can take breaks and still progress. The mobile controls are just on-screen buttons, but on PC the mouse cursor (press F) lets you drag items in the crafting menu.
The difficulty ramps unevenly. Some levels like "Boiling Point" are brutally short -- you have maybe 8 seconds before the wave hits. Others like "Lighthouse Lagoon" give you breathing room but have tricky platforming. There's no hand-holding after the first few levels. You just have to learn the patterns.
Tips & Tricks
Early on, you'll want to prioritize collecting brainrots over raw distance. The tsunami catches up fast, but those brainrots are what let you upgrade your movement speed later, which makes surviving far longer runs possible. I wasted too many runs just trying to outrun the wave without grabbing resources. Another thing: the throw mechanic with G is not just for fun. You can toss brainrots at certain obstacles to clear them instantly, which saves precious seconds when a wall is about to block your path. It took me way too long to realize that. The interact key (E) works on more than just obvious objects. Some hidden platforms require you to press E while standing on specific tiles, which reveals shortcuts that bypass entire sections of the runner. I kept dying at the same lava pit until I accidentally triggered one. Upgrading your jump height in the idle tycoon tab is a trap early on. It sounds good, but the cost spikes quickly, and better run speed gives you more chances to collect brainrots per run. Save your money for speed first. When you build your empire, don't spread upgrades evenly. Focus on the brainrot multiplier first, then income generation. The game's idle progression snowballs faster if you specialize. Finally, turning on the cursor with F lets you click on floating brainrots that are slightly off your running path. It's finicky but worth doing for those extra few every run.
