At first you're just trying to survive, but soon you realize you need **obsidian stones** -- three per level, usually hidden in tricky spots or behind breakable walls. Collecting all three opens the dimensional portal at the end, which is the only way to advance. Missing even one means you either go back to find it or restart the level.

Difficulty ramps up fast. By *Lava Caverns*, you're dodging fireballs from **Magma Creepers** while jumping over lava pits that kill instantly. *The Obsidian Temple* introduces moving platforms that shift on timers, and *Nether Gate* throws **Blaze Spawns** at you -- flying enemies that track your movement. Later levels like *Ender's Reach* have teleporting pads that swap your positions mid-jump, which is a big brain-twister. The most satisfying moments come when you and your partner nail a sequence without talking -- one triggers a switch while the other runs through a closing door, and you both grab the last stone just as the portal lights up.

Mobile touch controls are available, but they're clunky for precise movements -- stick to keyboard if you can. There's no upgrade system per se, but on each level you can find a **Power Gem** that gives you a temporary boost (speed, double jump, or invincibility for five seconds). Tips & Tricks

Instead, look for blue ones--they give a short speed boost that helps dodge the zombies in the swamp area.

Alex and Steve have slightly different jump heights. Steve jumps higher, which lets you reach some ledges Alex can't. Switch characters at the right moment--press Q to swap--and you'll find shortcuts. The graveyard level is brutal for this; Steve can hop onto the tombstone chains easily.

When the screen shakes, that means a hidden pit is about to open. Stay still for a second until it settles, or you'll fall into a spike trap. Learnt that the hard way three times.

Finally, save your sprint for the boss fights. There's a stamina bar you don't see unless you check the top-left corner. Running out mid-dodge against the giant creeper is a death sentence. Pace yourself.
