How to Play

Game Overview

So this game is basically just two stickman guys beating each other up with random weapons, and it's way more fun than it sounds. The whole thing has this janky physics engine where hits send characters flying, sometimes into hazards like spikes or off ledges. Visuals are simple -- think flash games from 15 years ago but cleaned up and running smooth on phones. Maps are the highlight: one round you're in a warehouse with conveyor belts moving boxes, next you're on a tiny platform over lava. The vibe is pure chaos, like playing with action figures as a kid but with ragdoll physics. Controls are weird at first -- on mobile you just drag a joystick and your guy automatically swings whatever he's holding in that direction. No buttons to press for attacks, which actually makes it feel more like you're flailing around than executing a plan. That's the charm though. Single player is okay but gets repetitive fast because the AI either stands still or spams the same move. Two-player on one phone is where it shines -- passing the device back and forth, screaming at each other when someone gets launched into a pit. Survival mode is just wave after wave of enemies, good for maybe ten minutes before you're bored. Who'd get hooked? People who love party games like Gang Beasts or that old Stick Fight game. If you want something competitive but not serious, this nails it. Just don't expect polish -- sometimes weapons clip through the floor or you'll get stuck on a wall. That's part of the fun though.

About Battle of the red and blue agents

Alright, so Battle of the Red and Blue Agents is this physics-based fighting game where you control a little stickman that just goes berserk with weapons. The whole thing is surprisingly simple to get into but gets chaotic fast. On mobile, you get a virtual joystick on the right side of the screen -- no buttons for special moves or attacks. Instead, your character automatically swings whatever weapon they're holding in the direction you push the stick. So if you nudge it left, they swing left. It feels weirdly intuitive after a few seconds, but the lack of fine control means you'll sometimes flail around when you meant to do something precise. On PC, WASD or arrow keys do the same thing, and you just move to attack.

The core loop is: pick a mode, get dropped into a map, and beat the snot out of the other guy (or guys) until they fall down and don't get back up. Single player has you facing off against AI stickmen, and the scene changes every fight. The maps have names like "The Abyss" where there's a big pit in the middle that you can knock people into, or "The Arena" which is just a flat platform with walls. Multiplayer is where it really shines because you and a friend share one device -- on mobile, two joysticks appear on opposite sides of the screen, each player grabs one, and you just go at it. Survival mode throws waves of enemies at you, and you try to rack up as many kills as possible before you get overwhelmed.

Difficulty ramps up mostly through enemy variety and numbers. Early on, you face basic red agents who just run at you and swing. Later, you get blue agents that are faster, or ones that pick up different weapons like sledgehammers that hit harder but swing slower, or giant scissors that have a weird reach. The satisfying moments come when you nail a perfect swing that sends an enemy flying off a ledge or into a hazard. Weapons spawn randomly on the map, so you're always scrambling for the next big thing. There's no upgrade system -- it's all about the moment-to-moment chaos. The physics are loose, so a hit can send someone spinning in a hilarious way, and you'll laugh even when you lose. It's not deep, but it's great for quick rounds.

Tips & Tricks

The joystick isn't just for moving -- the direction you push it determines your attack angle and which weapon you swing. I spent my first few matches flailing around before realizing that a quick flick upward makes your guy do an overhead smash, which is great against someone charging straight at you. In multiplayer mode, the second joystick on mobile lets you block or dodge if you pull it back instead of pushing forward -- the game never explains this, but it saved my skin more than once. Survival mode gets overwhelming fast because the stickmen spawn from both sides. My biggest mistake was staying in the center; instead, hug one edge of the arena so enemies only come from one direction. The scissors weapon is actually faster than the hammer but has shorter range -- I kept losing with it until I started using quick jabs instead of wild swings. Single player's scene changes aren't just cosmetic; some maps have walls that bounce projectiles back at you, which I learned the hard way when my own sledgehammer ricocheted and knocked me out. On PC, the arrow keys work fine, but WASD lets you strafe while keeping your index finger on space to jump -- jumping over an opponent's attack leaves them wide open for a second. Don't mash the joystick wildly in survival either; controlled, short movements let you chain attacks without leaving yourself vulnerable to the horde.
